Airborne Creed - Part 1 (Need to memorise by monday!!)
I am an Airborne trooper! A paratrooper!
I jump by parachute from any place in flight.
I volunteered to do it knowing well the hazards of my choice.
I am an elite trooper, a sky trooper, a shock trooper, an elite trooper.
I blaze the way to far-flung goals-behind, before, above the foe's front line.
I never find a fellow trooper I cherish as a sacred trust the lives of the men with whom I serve. Leaders have my fullest loyalty, and those I lead never find me lacking.
I have pride in the Airborne.
I never let it down.

GF's gift for 21st! =))

The Ugly truth is a nice movie to watch.. =)) very funny and entertaining.. apart tat everything seems very... drama kinda stuffs.. haha!

10th September 2009 was my Birthday and as well as CDO BMT Bravo coy's passing out parade day! =)) We had our 24km route march on that day itself and thats the reason why we had our FBO(Full Battle Order) passing out parade..

The 24km route march was a painful trip for me.. Just imagine having abrasion at THERE on 6km mark and I have to endure the rest of the 18km.. ha!

Our Platoon Commander, 2WO Dennis Tay leading the
wolves.. A very well experience and patience commander
who put our vocation sorting on top of his son 1st birthday.

My favourite poster at the foyer actually (Taken by GF!)

We ran all runs together, We motivated each other during
tough time, My poly mate and his name is Solomon

Back at home on the same day I have a nice oreo cheesecake
bought by girlfriend at TheCheeseCakeCafe waiting for me..

Vocation set.

  • Sep. 5th, 2009 at 12:06 PM

5 more days to Passing Out from SOTAC.. no more a Commando recruit.. can grow a bit of hair! ha! Vocation has been somewhat set.. My name was on the board.. a Demolition Man/Boat Man..

Something which ppl will give a "0.0! face" vocation.. hahaha! oh well.. Getting use to it.. though I really wanna be a Medic instead.. Oh well.. at least is a rare vocation.. only about 30 are chosen every batch..

Just went for my BAC selection and yup! Will be doing my BAC(Basic Airborne Course) this end of september.. Talking about completing the ARC.. I guess.. Nawwwwww.. I will just complete A and C..

ARC - Airborne Ranger Commando..

Back from field camp!

  • Aug. 30th, 2009 at 12:23 PM

All I can say is.. everything went smoothly.. =)) Every single route march we had in Tekong we always dunno how far we are walking.. HA! Just have to walk and walk and walk till we go numb.. every now and den I will take out the Aide Memoir given to us.. Well.. of course not to read it.. but I got our pic on it.. which I will always tell myself I will make it..

We stayed 2 nights in the field, 1 night in Urban Ops area and 2 nights in training shack.. and yes! first 2 nights it didnt rain.. and the last 3 nights it rained HEAVILY.. but we were in shelter with real hard cement floor and tats the reason why I am having a back ache..

First Aid Dressing kit is my pillow! Is always in my right pocket..

Urban Ops was fun.. Platoon 4 threw a smoke grenade into the warehouse and smoked everyone out.. it was really hilarious as we watch and laugh.. Had a lot of fun throwing thunder flash and shooting blanks.. is awesome but tiring..

Exercise. ThunderStorm is wad we expected.. We prepared ourselves readily to get hit.. when Exercise. ThunderStorm starts.. we were all ready to move..

SSG Vick," Wha.. platoon 2 so fast.. all knock it down"

we were all damn blur.. hahaha! but of course.. the 40mins is to wack us inside out.. is to shag our body and mind before the situation starts.. No matter how fast or how well we do we will definitely get it..

Overall I think we had a pretty good time in field camp compare to others in BMTC.. Thats wad I think.. or maybe is just me? I dunno.. well.. Vocational Training is coming.. maybe the true colour of Commando starts there.. Just have to embrace myself and train my endurance as I go..

Last last week was Saturday night book out, Sunday morning book in.. and now.. Saturday night book out and Sunday night book in.. and she have to attend church..

Is always just a few hours a week with my girl.. Life as a Commando Recruit~~

Moving out

  • Aug. 21st, 2009 at 11:53 PM

Half my heart want to stay in the formation half my heart wan to leave and sign on in NAVY.. Another turning point for me..

EVEN more painful

  • Aug. 15th, 2009 at 10:41 PM

5 skin tear due to UDC and SOC

5 skin tear opened up during BIC.. WOOOOO!!! Pain till.. But I still refuse to see MO.. =)))

and Guard Duty after a tiring day.. Gosh.. sometimes I realise words just cant explain how tired and worn out I am... everytime ppl ask me how is Commando's training I just cant think of words to explain but "okay la.. not so bad"

2.4 drop 2mins! 10min+ now
3 chin ups to 7!

Great improvement for me! =)) more to come!

A painful week

  • Aug. 7th, 2009 at 9:47 PM

2 days of field camp at our "Backyard" shot blanks and threw smoke grenades.. lots of experiences.. =)) but had a painful blueblack on my left knee..

Enemy contacted drills was fun and easy for me...
1SGT M***,"U are already in the SAF.Good job"
Ran around the "backyard" in no.4 is also quite tsk..

Friday today is quite a memorable day for me. Took part in the parade at Hendon camp with all the Red Berets.. very nice very motivating.. Though time have slacked in the army.. but the looks of the SOF and CRF is really no words can explain..

Another memorable activity is also on Friday.. the UDC exercise also known as Ultimate Detachment Challenge.. this event is to shagg us out totally.. both mentally and physically..

We are suppose to complete all in a team of 15 (mine got 13)
[ITEMS:FBO, Signal set]

Things to complete
-200 Chin ups
-400 Sit ups
-400 push ups
-Leopard crawl in FBO for 50m, grenade throwing(dummy) after that
-60KG strecher route march for 1.5km
-Weapon profiency
-12km route march(FBO, Signal set)

Simple as it seems.. but with 16 detachments trying to get the best timing.. Guess u can imagine how fast and how hard we push ourselve to run and all.. I wld say the route march is not a march but rather a run..

After 3 weeks in army

  • Aug. 1st, 2009 at 9:06 AM

Is quite weird I should say.. we wake up at 5.45am every morning and do running twice daily, is tiring but is okay~ and now I am at home waking up at 8am and I felt damn tired.. LOL!!!

Life in SOTAC compared to BMTC is really a different experience.. The instructors here are all matured, serious and well experienced. They are all regulars with minimum experience of 6 years in the force, unlike BMTC's SGT they are only a few mths of experience and just wanna bully recruits

We have been doing running twice everyday but I still dun get improvement on my timing.. but my quads definitely got bigger and girlfriend complained that I got a bigger butt.. HA!

oh! We have covered 4km in the 1st week, 6km in the 2nd and 8km in the 3rd week.. more to come.. 24km in September.. haha!

Passing Out Parade is on my birthday! ha! what a present from the army.. after POP will be heading to our one and only battalion, Home of the Commandos..

"All that I'm after is a life full of laughter
As long as I'm laughing with you
I'm thinkin' that all that still matters is love ever after
After the life we've been through
'Cause I know there's no life after you "

Small note about Michael Jackson

  • Jul. 9th, 2009 at 9:01 AM

I wanted to post something about Michael Jackson.. but I cldnt get a decent photo of him.. HAHAHA.. So I decided not to.. but then again.. I will still post something.. hence this post is here.. =))

Michael Jackson is really a good singer and a dancer.. I dun think any singer out there have the same caliber as him, sadly..

Those rock stars now are all imitating his moves eg. Justin Timberlake

Like the saying I love to say, "Trends live for awhile, Class... last forever"
Michael Jackson has the class..

1 more freaking day!

I think this 2 are the nicest.. haha!

And caught Transformers: Revenge of the Sith.. with girlfriend, a die heart Transformers fan.. hahhaha.. and both of us think it wasnt really that well done.. as in compared to Transformers(2007)...

The jokes in Transformers 2 are quite anti climax.. Joke abit during serious time is okay.. but not too long.. it makes the whole film looks like Bruce Almighty or Fun with Dick and Jane..

Turning Transformers into this

But nontheless! Just watch it.. is Transformers for goodness sake.. hahaha! thumbs up for Bee and Optimus! U guys are kick ass! =))

Oh btw I watched it at GVPS.. and it was blurred during the advertisement and many people went to complain about it and they shut it down and restart again.. Thats so GV~~ Like wad my brother say.. "watch movie at Cathay.. Cheaper and better quality.." =))
